The House-Guest pt. 5

It was five minutes until midday in Denville. In the Condo District Scotty was preparing. He had received the reply from Jennifer Calaway and was going to make sure that she ended up making out with him by the end of the night. He had never actually met Jenny but he had seen her several times whilst downtown or shopping. He hadn’t been able to contact her in any way because he had six girls going at the same time. Eventually he was caught though.“I don’t even know why I let her pick the location!” he thought to himself.

He had been on a date with a girl called Jan which he had let her choose to keep her happy. Unfortunately, and in some sort of bad miracle, three of the other girls saw him there, so he was down to just two.
He had everything all planned out already. It was one of his usual schemes that he used on girls which hadn’t seen him before. It hadn’t ever failed him to date. He checked himself out in the mirror. He had the look going perfectly. He looked at his watch, it ticked forward to twelve o’clock, and just seconds later the doorbell rang.“Hang on a second!” he shouted, trying to sound like he was in a hurry. He took his shirt off and threw it into the drawer, and then he splashed himself a little with a sponge.

He ran to the front door and opened it, pretending to pant.
“Sorry I’m not fully clothed,” said Scotty.
Jenny’s mouth hung open as she stared at Scott. He tried hard not to grin.

“I just got out of the shower…” he lied, “and… hello? Are you there Jenny?”
She blinked and shook her head a little.
“Sorry I was a bit, ummmm.”
“Distracted?” finished Scotty flashing a smile.
Neither of them said anything for a little while, but eventually the silence was broken by Scott saying “C’mon, let’s go inside.”
He was still smiling. Jenny couldn’t really think, she just followed him into the Condo.
“You look hot,” he said, looking at her.
“Pardon?” Jenny asked staring at him.
Scotty laughed.
“I meant as in like temperature. Don’t worry I’m not some jerk who’s hitting on you,” he said with a wink.
“I know it probably won’t cool you down much but I have a tub up on the roof. It’s real comfortable, ‘cause on a day like this you get a good mix of the fresh air, breeze and the warm water. You wanna have our conversation in there?” he asked.
“Ummmm sure, I guess,” replied Jenny.
“Cool,” said Scotty. “Follow me.”
Jenny was already getting sucked in. Normally if a guy just hit on her she wouldn’t have waited for an explanation. Her mind had gone blank; she just followed him up to the hot-tub.

“You can get changed in there he said,” indicating the extra little room on the roof. “There should be a bathing-suit in there. I’ll wait for you in the hot-tub.”
He took off his jeans, revealing some board shorts. He had already been prepared for this matter. He climbed in the hot-tub and sat, with a sense of satisfaction.

“Jenny may be smarter than the average girl,” he thought to himself, “but she’s no better at resisting me.”
Jenny came out dressed in the bathing-suit.
“Sorry if it’s a little small,” said Scotty, although he had deliberately made sure it was small.
She got in the tub with him, and he started talking.

Meanwhile at the Calaway apartment, Phil was pacing back and forth. He had got back from work, without a direct promotion. But his superior had been watching him and said that his skills might be required as a piano tuner for a concert. He was going to get paid almost twice as much. But this wasn’t the reason he was pacing.

“My life is a wreck at the moment. I’m doing well in my job, but my social and family life is dead,” he said to himself.
His sister had gone to the house of some guy who would try and hit on her, and probably succeed. But more personally, his girlfriend hadn’t called him back. He had no indication of thinking that she was away. He was sad, angry and worried all at the same time.He stared at his reflection. He had taken out the dye in his hair. He was in the process of growing it so it could be put into a mohawk, which made it looked a bit messy at the moment.

He picked up the phone and dialled Elizabeth’s number. If she was avoiding him, he would have to ring her from the house phone so she didn’t know it was definitely him. This time Elizabeth picked it up.
“Hello?” she asked.
A wave of relief washed over the worry and anger, and replaced it with joy.
“Lizzy! You’re back from… wherever you went. Where did you go?” asked Phil.
“I didn’t go anywhere Phil; it’s just that my life’s become a lot more hectic living on my own. I’m really sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry!” said Phil. I mean the only reason my life hasn’t been as hectic as yours is because I’m living with Jenny.”
He sighed.
“Oh yes how is she?” asked Elizabeth.
“Ummmm, she just got invited over to Scotty Kenta’s house.”
“What!? And you let her just go!? She’s never even met him she’ll be completely unprepared!”
Phil smacked himself in the face; he shouldn’t have just let her go.

“Listen my sister is really smart. She won’t be sucked in by him. He didn’t suck you in, and he probably tried right?”
This time Elizabeth sighed.
“Yeah, and he hasn’t ever come back to me since.”
She neglected to tell Phil that the only reason he hadn’t ever came back was because she told him her news. How did that work out? She had told some guy that tried to hit on her that she was pregnant, but not the father!“So how about we go to the hub on Friday?” asked Phil. “It’ll be the catch up date. Surely you‘ll be sorted out in three days time!” laughed Phil.

Elizabeth stared down. She wasn’t showing yet, and although she’d been having some morning sickness, the pregnancy hadn’t really taken its toll on her yet.
“OK,” she said.
“Great. I’ll meet you there at eight. See ya!” said Phil.
“OK, maybe my life isn’t that bad,” he said to himself, smiling.

Scotty hadn’t made his move yet. He was a bit unsure how to take it. She was clearly stunned by him, but she wasn’t like all the other girls he normally dated. She had half a brain. This meant he was unsure how fast to proceed.
“Woah hang on a second,” he said quickly. “I think I left my phone on silent. I gotta change that. Just stay here a minute, I’ll be right back.”
He climbed out of the tub and ran downstairs to the cupboard.

He wasn’t actually getting his phone; he was getting a love potion. With that applied she would stand no chance at resisting his charms.
“Ah, here it is.”
He downed the entire bottle in two gulps, and ran back upstairs.

He climbed back into the tub, fully aware that the love potion had probably already started taking its toll on Jennifer.
“Sorry about that,” said Scotty, knowing that Jenny’s eyes were wide staring at him. “So what do you do for a living then?” asked Scotty.
“Well I, I, I work in law,” replied Jenny.
She was still speechless.
“I work in sport, well on my way to being a hall of famer I think,” he said, flashing another seductive smile.
Jenny sighed; it was as if she was melting.

Her brain certainly was. She couldn’t really think, and then suddenly she felt this yearning to kiss him. Kiss this man who she had known for about an hour. It wasn’t her own head saying it; it was this strange little voice she didn’t normally hear. The voice of the potion which she didn’t know Scotty had drunk. He knew that the potion was working, but he was just playing around with her.
“So,” he said, knowing he could pretty much say anything without it affecting her, “what’s your past with, boyfriends and stuff like that?”
“Well, I’ve never really been very serious with anyone,” she said. “How about you?”
She was getting more and more into him every second. The potion was designed to challenge even the strongest mind.
“Well, I’ve had some girls in the past.”
What an exaggeration that was. Scotty had lost count of the number of girls he’d had.
“But nothing serious,” he continued. “I can remember a lot of them, but none of them can compare to you. And that is meant to be a compliment.”
He winked at her.
“I’m surprised you’re not beating the guys off with a stick!” he said. He knew how to work his love potions. He knew that they made any compliment even greater than it was. She leaned forward to kiss him, the potion having completely taken over her brain.

Scotty played on, allowing her to come close, but just before she could kiss him, he stood up.
“Wow, time sure does fly sometimes! Looks like you’ll have to be going home soon. Sorry about that!”

They got out to dry off, Scotty finishing first. He went downstairs to wait for her. To the untrained eye it would seem that he had blown his chance, but he knew what he was doing. She soon came down. He suspected that he had another hour left of the potion. They didn’t last very long after all.
“Just before you go I want to show you something. Follow me,” he said.
Of course Jenny followed. Under the influence of the potion, she would do almost anything that he said. He went into his cupboard; as if he was going to pick out something. Jenny stood behind him, wondering what he was going to get out. Then, without warning, he spun around and kissed her.

He gave her the kiss that the potion had made her long for. Eventually their lips parted. Jennifer swooned. He pulled her onto the bed, and they made out. She was swept up by this man. Jenny was not acting like herself, but she didn’t care. This was also not like herself; she was too distracted by the man she was making out with. It got intense; and soon they were stripping down to just their underwear. Scotty achieved his goal, but he had also gone one step further than what he had hoped.
